Murphy Transport Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking to join an established transport company with a modern fleet and a strong focus on safety, reliability and quality workmanship.
The Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of our HGV trailers and associated equipment, ensuring our fleet remains safe, roadworthy and operational.
Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
Brake, suspension and axle maintenance
Repairs to trailer lighting and electrical systems
Air brake and pneumatic system repairs
Carrying out inspections and preparing trailers for CVRT
Welding and fabrication work where required
Completing maintenance records and reporting defects
Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with health & safety requirements
The Ideal Candidate
Experienced in HGV/trailer maintenance and repair
Mechanically minded with strong diagnostic skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Safety-conscious and committed to high standards of workmanship
Reliable, organised and willing to take responsibility
HGV mechanic or trailer mechanic experience is highly desirable

Salary up to €50,000 per annum, depending on experience
